Formula 1 rookie Nick de Vries spoke about the changes in life after his debut at the Italian Grand Prix.


The Dutch pilot impressed F-1 with a successful performance at Monza and was soon signed by the Alpha Tauri team.


After Monza, everything changed a little. In Mexico City, my hotel was besieged by fans, and the next morning I even had to call security.


I enjoy the fulfillment of a dream - because all this is what I have worked for all my life. I understood what had happened, but only in part, and I will understand everything better later, in winter.


Going to Alpha Tauri is like coming home. I once competed in an Italian karting team. Italians love motorsport. In addition, it is in their culture that the racing team is so close-knit that it looks like one big family.


I have already met the team and talked to the staff in Italian. I was greeted very warmly, it was great to visit the base. Grateful to Alpha Tauri for the opportunity to make his F1 debut with them.


I was really surprised that there are so many Italians in this team. There are many English people in Mercedes, as well as employees of other nationalities. But in Faenza, perhaps 85 percent are Italians, - said de Vries.
